Valentina Frascarolo

This article focuses on Giuseppe Bezzuoli’s prolific activity as draughtsman. The analysis begins by analyzing his earlier works inspired by the first preromantic feelings of Benvenuti and Sabatelli, up to his mature naturalistic inclination for the study of nude and of landscape. Bezzuoli’s drawing method, applied to historical and literary subjects as well as to more traditional religious ones, is investigated in-depth.
