UN RUOLO PER LE ORGANIZZAZIONI NON GOVERNATIVE

Massimo Carcione

To solve many well known problems affecting Italian cultural heritage, we have the opportunity to take example and useful suggestions from the best international practices; for that, the best thing to do is to apply correctly the UNESCO Conventions, especially Paris 1972 and, recently, Hague 1999 II Protocol. First of all, we should enforce the rules concerning the safeguard of cultural property, in different events of risk situations; by this way, Italy can also start an effective and strategic enhancement of the very large professional skills of cultural NGOs, voluntary associations and non profit institutions, today acting under the emblem of the Blue Shield, the “Cultural Red Cross”.
